Meet the Simmons Team

Adam Simmons, Director

Adam entered the plumbing world as an adult apprentice after deciding his management role with Woolworths didn’t fuel his passions. During his apprenticeship with a McLaren Flat based plumber, he completed Certificate IV in Plumbing and Gasfitting.

Today you will find him co-ordinating staff and projects, liaising with clients and suppliers and quoting. When Adam isn’t working, he loves watching and getting involved with his families sporting activities. He has been a Juniors Assistant Coach for the last four years at Kangarilla Football Club. When time permits, the swags get thrown in the car for a weekend away camping.

Luke Katekar, Supervisor

Luke had a varied work life including being a kitchenhand, vineyard contractor, cellar hand and baggage handler before commencing a pre-vocational plumbing course at TafeSA where he was awarded Student of the Year. Securing a subsequent apprenticeship, he also completed his Certificate IV in Plumbing and Gasfitting while working alongside some old school and experienced plumbers who shaped him to the tradesman he is today. Initially helping Adam out during busy periods, he started full time with Simmons Plumbing in 2015.

When Luke isn’t working he is spending time with his young family, riding his horses or working on his own property. He is also a volunteer FireFighter for the Local CFS Brigade.

DYLAN JASPERS, TRADEPERSON

Dylan’s plumbing experience started in high school when he was offered the opportunity to enroll into a plumbing VET course. He soon discovered his passion for the industry after completing the course and decided to make it his career. Following his apprenticeship, he added to his knowledge and experience by working on a variety of plumbing projects ranging from construction to domestic and residential works.

In Dylan’s free time he enjoys going to the gym, playing sports, camping and spending time with his family.

Carlton Pratt, Apprentice

After graduating St John’s Grammar in 2021, Carlton went straight into the trades as a concreter before landing an apprenticeship with Simmons Plumbing. He is currently in his second year and looking forward to the journey while furthering his skills and knowledge as a plumber. He loves going to the gym, and spending time with close friends and family is what makes him the happiest.

We engaged Simmons Plumbing to play a key role in our new build/renovations at Crafers West.  Adam and his team were amazing to deal with throughout our four-year building journey whether it be their professionalism, expertise, skills, knowledge, ability to be flexible or adapt throughout the build, but their most outstanding quality was their ability to always communicate. Our build was complex and to have Adam and his team involved was a blessing.  Even after our build was complete, Adam and his team still find time to assist us with any queries or minor on going service needs we require.  I would highly recommend Adam and his business Simmons Plumbing to any family or company in the plumbing sector.

Julian Burton

Crafers West

Adam Simmons and his team have completed several projects initially for domestic work and then moving onto increasingly large-scale commercial projects in the food and beverage industry. The commercial work ranged from plumbing through a beverage factory, introduction of drainage to upgrade a warehouse site and the implementation of a waste treatment system where they provided strong support to an external engineering business.

In all the projects on which Simmons Plumbing were involved, the work was finished to our agreed budgets and to a high standard, which stood the test of commercial operations for several years.

I would strongly recommend Adam and his team for their professionalism, attention to detail, pride in their work and willingness to complete jobs to a standard that satisfies both their clients and their own expectations.
