General plumbing maintenance

Currently we are not clearing blocked drains in-house but over the years we have built up a network of reliable plumbers that can assist with blocked drains, drain cleaning, drain location work and drain camera work.

We have extensive experience in new builds from humble 1 bed 1 bath cottages up to multiple storey apartment buildings. We have worked with some fantastic boutique builders over the years and continue to do so. Along the way, we have been involved in rammed earth studios, multi million dollar homes and everything in between.

On-site wastewater treatment
We are proficient in all on-site waste water needs. From the humble septic tank with soakage trenches to the more modern enviro-cycle systems with associated sprinkler set ups. Then from a commercial aspect, trade waste arrestors.
Gas fitting
We are experienced in working on domestic gas appliances eg. hot water units, cook tops, and heaters. We also have all your gas needs for commerical kitchens covered – deep fryers, grills, hot plates and more!
Commercial and industrial
Over the years our team has worked extensively in maintenance and construction for hospitals, nursing homes, beverage bottling plants, wineries and warehouses. We’ve undertaken a vast range of jobs from fixing a leaking tap in the staff lunchroom, to installing tradewaste arrestors, 20,000 litre septic tanks or running hot water rings mains. We are here to help.
Rainwater
We know rainwater! As half our team livie off-grid from a water perspective, we understand the importance of water conservation, collection, storage and filtration. Many projects over the years have been sites with no access to mains water. We loved to get involved with calculating the expected water collection volume and making sure we size the rainwater tank accordingly. Collecting rainwater efficiently is only one piece of the puzzle, getting the pump selection and filtration system right is just as important! We’ve got you covered with bore water filtration, too. Even if it has a high Iron content.
Stormwater
Often a part of a new build or extension is stormwater. More often than not, fall can be achieved out ot the street but sometimes a pump station needs to be introduced. We have been installing a variety of pump stations for years, sometimes it’s a small domestic system, sometimes it is a 3000L in-ground tank with multile pumps, control systems and heavy duty lids sturdy enough that a truck could drive over. Non-Plumbing services
Further to our plumbing services, we provide:
- Masonry cutting.
- Coring holes in concrete and masonry.
- We can core holes up to 170mm in diameter to a depth of 1200mm and cut concrete to a depth of 140mm.
- We do all our masonry cutting and coring in a dustless fashion.
- We also have an excavator for small earth works jobs, trenching, pads for rainwater tanks etc.
We engaged Simmons Plumbing to play a key role in our new build/renovations at Crafers West. Adam and his team were amazing to deal with throughout our four-year building journey whether it be their professionalism, expertise, skills, knowledge, ability to be flexible or adapt throughout the build, but their most outstanding quality was their ability to always communicate. Adam Simmons and his team have completed several projects initially for domestic work and then moving onto increasingly large-scale commercial projects in the food and beverage industry. The commercial work ranged from plumbing through a beverage factory, introduction of drainage to upgrade a warehouse site and the implementation of a waste treatment system where they provided strong support to an external engineering business.
In all the projects on which Simmons Plumbing were involved, the work was finished to our agreed budgets and to a high standard, which stood the test of commercial operations for several years.
